Selling on eBay UK - Daily Sales Update #5 - Sales Continue To Come In

in ebay •  7 years ago

So yesterday I mentioned the fact that sales have finally picked up for me after the worse weekend in a long time. Well, I am happy to report the sales continued to come in yesterday and I even had my very first instagram sale which was unintentional, but a nice bonus nonetheless. I posted a picture of one of my pick ups from the charity shop and someone was interested, so I gave them a price and we arrange a sale. Quite happy to not have to pay the ebay fees.

  • Carved Wooden Plate

This was a lovely little sale. A very nicely hand carved plate with a sort of fruit design on it. I was a little worried I might have undersold it though because it did sell rather quickly. However it only cost me £2 from the charity shop, so there was still an excellent profit in it anyway. Lovely item and very easy to list. If I got a similar item again I would probably start the price a little higher though.

  • Vintage Brass Jam Pan

Continuing on with that vintage theme, here with have a great example of a brass jam pan in brilliant condition. Unfortunately I don't sell these often and they are harder to sell these days. But I was still very pleased to get £20 + post for it as I paid roughly £3 in an auction joblot. If you do find these out and about just know that generally they are a slightly tougher sell. But as with most things if you get your pricing right, they will sell.

  • HP Ink Cartridges

Expired Ink? You might be thinking thats a bit of a weird thing to be selling. Well the more usual thing is, it actually sells, obviously I am completely transparent on the listings in saying that it is expired. However whenever I have listed this, it always sells, for a long time I really wondered why are people buying this. But someone told me in a youtube comment that it is because certain inks actually never expire but certain companies put expiry dates on to make people buy more, now I don't know how valid that statement is, so take it with a pinch of salt. But it would somewhat explain why they are selling.

Anyway that's the pick of the sales for today, as always thanks for reading :)
