Solar Eclipse 2018 guide

A solar eclipse is a magical wonder that occurs when the moon crosses directly in front of the sun. A total eclipse occurs when the sun is 100% directly behind the moon, partial eclipse is when the moon covers only a portion of the son. For most people this knowledge might be common sense but for the few that have their doubts,it may come useful throughout.

Partial eclipses are the only eclipses to be expected this year. With around three in total, all unique in their own ways. They are expected to take place on the 15 February; 13 July and 11 August (2018).

The 15th of February's eclipse will begin over the cold ocean of Antarctica moving over South America, showing some visibility. Due to the magnitude, the further you are South, the more visible it will be. For those more dedicated it can be said that there are even better spots, putting you into the prime position. Giving you maximum visibility.

On July the 13th the second partial eclipse is expected to take place. Majority of it is expected to take place over the ocean. Our friends, if lucky enough, on the Southern Coast of Australia and even New Zealand will catch a glimpse of the partial eclipse.

The 11th of August will be the last solar eclipse expected to happen this year. Much of the eclipse will happen over the Northern Hemisphere. The visual bellow will help trace the movement as it crosses over.

These natural phenomenon are scientifically mapped and jotted down. They are even predicted but without a doubt, when experienced, another great examples of the wonderful magic that takes places throughout our universe.
