I heard it got very dark during the eclipse. From the pictures it looks to be true. Is the weather cooler too?

Yes it did get darker. By about 25-30% and the temp dropped about 5-10 deg.F.
You could still see shadows.
I live about 100 miles to far south for the best view,but close enough,in astronomical distances..lol

Deal, however earthquakes sounds scarier then hurricanes. Are you sure you don't want to come over to sunshine state :D
