My semi terrible photos of the eclipse today.

Fine maybe I should have said really terrible photos. I watched through an old welding mask I found in the garage. From what I read I am too far north to see the moon cross directly in front of the sun. So the best we got was partial coverage along the bottom of the sun. You can see the outline of what we were seeing just above the actually huge blur that was the sun.

I was honestly a bit worried the kids would be tempted to look at it, but turn out that was silly. They are 2 and 3 so they really didn't care at all and had no interest in looking. Turns out there instincts to avoid pain and discomfort are much stronger then their curiosity.
