Ecology #2 [ the interaction of organisms with the environment ] Did you know about the science of ecology..?

in ecology •  7 years ago

How is the interaction taking place in the ecosystem.......?

as an agricultural student I know about ecology, in this post I will present a series on ecology with a focus on the topic the interaction of organisms with the environment according to my promise on the first post ecology#1.

Living environment

The environment is the unity of space with all things, power, circumstances, and living things, including humans, and their behavior, which affects the viability of life and the well-being of human beings and other living beings and can affect their lives.

Environmental definition by scientists

Emil Salim the environment is the Objects, conditions, circumstances and influences contained in the space we occupy and affect the living things including human life.

Seodjonothe environment is physical or physical contained in nature. Physical and physical environments include humans, animals, and plants.

Munadjat Danusaputro the environment is All things and power and conditions including human beings and their actions are contained in the space where humans are located and affect the survival of others. thus, the environment includes two environments, namely the physical environment and the cultural environment.

Sambas Wirakusumah All aspects of the biological external conditions, in which living organisms and the environmental sciences become environmental aspects of organism studies.

Environment as a Resource

The environment is an important resource for the lives of mankind and other living beings. The environment is sustained by three elements as the provider of all the needs of mankind and living beings.

linking environmental quality to the degree of fulfillment of basic needs, means the environment is a resource. From the environment we get the elements we need for production and consumption.

Water is the resource we need for production. Air and water, except as a factor of production, are also the elements of the environment we consume, the air for our breathing and the water for our drinking and other household necessities.

General resources have different properties of the existing capital in the company. General resources can be enjoyed freely while factory resources must be spent.

  1. element of Biotic
The biotic element is an element present in the environment for interconnected media such as humans, animals, plants, and microorganisms. Unsure biotic is very influential for our lives because if there is no biotic element then we can not breed perfectly.

  2. Abiotic elements
Abiotic Unsure is the element found in the environment for the living media of life such as land, water, air, sunlight, and others. Abiotic unsure also beperngaruh for life because abiotic elements are the main needs in the ongoing life.

  3. Cultural element
The element of culture is the system of values, ideas, and beliefs that humans have in determining their behavior as social beings such as buildings, clothes, cars, houses, and others. Cultural elements can shape a person's behavior in life.

Benefits And Environmental Risks

Environmental factors can be analyzed from positive and negative to get our basic needs, environmental benefits and risks are biological factors and chemical factors and can be natural or man-made. Environmental benefits or risks can be spread actively by their own power, eg by flying or physical strength. It can also be carried passively by certain physical forces, such as air and water currents.

The spread of environmental benefits and risks not only naturally but also through technological and socio-cultural factors. Between environmental benefits and risks are mutually tied to each other that when there are environmental benefits it will always cause environmental risks. for example using oxygen in the air for the burning of gasoline in the engine will pose a risk of pollution. If the risk dimabilized by this utilization is minimized, the benefits taken will generally also be reduced.

Some environmental issues

  • flood

  • erosion

  • global warming

  • Environmental Problems Arise Basically Because :

    1. Population dynamics

    2. Less resourceful use and management of resources

    3. Less controlled use of science pengetuan and advanced technology

    4. Negative impacts arising from economic progress

    Relationship between Organisms

    Symbiosis

derived from the sym Greek meaning and biosis which means life. Symbiosis is an interaction between two organisms that co-exist, Symbiosis is a very close and special interaction pattern between two different types of living creatures. living creatures that does symbiosis are called symbions

    • Symbiosis of Parasitism

Parasitism is the relationship between organisms of different species if one of the organisms attaches itself to another organism and takes food from the host or its host to the detriment of the host. Parasitism is a relationship where one party gets a profit and the other loses. The advantages obtained in the form of food and shelter while the living creatures that host (host or host) feel loss because the juice is taken, maybe even killed by the parasite. Parasites are organisms that live in the bodies of other living things and take nutrients or food juices from the creatures they attach.

    • Symbiosis of Komensalism

Komensalisme is a relationship between two organisms that differ species in the form of life together to share food sources. One of the beneficial species and the other species is not harmed is called commensalism. In this connection the two parties work together.

    • Symbiosis Mutualism

Mutualism is the relationship between two organisms of different species that are mutually beneficial to both parties. In symbiotic mutualism, each symbiotic (interacting organism) benefits from the interaction performed by both.

    • Symbiosis Neutralism

Neutralism is the interaction between individuals who mutually or not affect each other that does not affect what the two creatures are. So even though they live side by side with each other in a single environment but neither gain nor benefit at all.

    • Symbiosis Competition

Competition is the mutual competition among living things to survive. So there will be a competition to win something like food, place of power, and also competition to get females.

Limitations and tolerances within the ecosystem

*The growth of a good organism can be achieved when environmental factors that affect balanced and profitable growth. If one environmental factor is not balanced with other environmental factors, this factor may suppress or sometimes stop the growth of the organism. The least optimum environmental factors will determine the level of organism productivity. This principle is called the limiting factor principle. Justus Von Liebig is one of the pioneers in studying the influence of various factors on the growth of organisms, in this case is the plant.

    conclusion

    • The environment is the abiotic and biotic factors outside the body of the organism that affect the life of the organism, which is distinguished from the conditions and resources.

    • Every organism is exposed to abiotic environmental factors that are always dynamic or fluid in the scale of space and time.

    • Each animal has a certain tolerance range for each environmental factor.
