Wow, you really get the big picture.
You know, I talk often with people on this topic. Being someone who served in the Armed forces in America, and then suffered addiction and homelessness for ten years straight, it really opened my eyes to the issues in the world, and plenty of nights under bridges I thought long and deep about why I was really sleeping under a bridge.
It never really dawned on me that we, collectively speaking, are the problem.. Until recent years in sobriety.
Poverty is everywhere, and it's bad here too, despite what many "hear" or are fed through media.
I grew up poor, and I'm still poor. 2 years away from alcohol, and it isn't any easier financially, and coping is never easy either, but I try to use what I learn, constructively, while maintaining a list of things I'm grateful for.
The entire financial system is in shambles. It makes no sense that someone in America on a 10k a year budget is dirt poor, yet that amount of USD would make you very well set in countries of extreme poverty.
I believe for us to solve these problems, altruism needs to become a standard. The concepts of a person's worth need to be taught the correct way in educational institutions, and compassion for thy fellow human being should be ingrained by the time a child is out of diapers. That is my opinion anyways, because a collective change will work much better from the foundation, which is our youth.
I'm thrilled to have found your blog. I really hope you get more eye's here, I really hope people wake up, and I wish you and your family the best on your life journey. I will be watching your blog. Take care @cerise
Thank you so much for your comment - you certainly sound like you have walked an interesting yet very challenging path.
I think our tendency to want to shift the blame/responsibility onto someone/something else has us forever avoiding ourselves and the real power that we have in this world. We are, in fact, the creators of the world system
