This is a video from a local economic democracy pilot we're running in Boston. It's called the Ujima Project, and we're trying to democratize capital by applying participatory budgeting to a community development investment fund. In the longer term we'd like to build an alternative currency or local loyalty card to incentivize purchasing at the small businesses and co-ops we've pledged to support.
