Real Inflation is far higher than reported CPI

Anyone who bought grocery in early 2000 would remember milk at 1 to 2 dollar a gallon, a loaf of bread at 99 cents. Now everything has more than doubled in price. Organic milk is selling for 9.99 to 10.99 dollars a gallon where I live. It was 8.99 last year. Whole grain bread is 2.99 dollars and beyond. Avocado was 1 dollar a piece last year but has shot up to 1.5 to 2 dollars a piece this year!

Houses has more than tripled in price. Rents have doubled. Starbucks coffee has doubled too

Yet salaries have been stagnant and even dropped in some sectors since 2000.

Real inflation is 4-5% or higher.
