WILL IT BE TRUE?

DAVOS, Switzerland (AP) - President Donald Trump told a cautious audience of the world's political elite and businesswoman Friday that the country's economic growth with its "United States First" program benefits the entire world.
In a speech before the World Economic Forum in Davos - a forum that generally supports free trade, something dissonant to a nationalist president - Trump declared that the American prosperity has generated innumerable jobs in the world, but reaffirmed that his priority will always be to protect the interests borders inside.

"As president of the United States, I will always place the United States first, just as the leaders of other countries must place their countries first," Trump said.
However, the president sought a balance by moderating his nationalist program with the reassuring promise to a globalist and supportive audience of cooperation that his protectionist vision does not mean "the United States alone."
"When the United States grows, the same thing happens to the world," he said. "American prosperity has created countless jobs around the world and the search for excellence, creativity and innovation in the United States has led to important discoveries that help people everywhere lead more prosperous and healthy lives."

When Trump went up to the rostrum, applause was scarce and some of those present kept their hands still. People listened to the president in silence, but there were boos when Trump spoke of "the dirty, the mean, the perverse and the false that can be the press".
