I was recently watching very interesting interviews with Jordan Belfort, the famous Wolf of Wall Street. At the beginning, he discusses his recent book „Way of the Wolf“. Further, Mr. Belfort adresses other important issues:
Selling: No matter what you do or who you are, the selling skills are a must.
Wall Street/ Big Business: You have to be proficient with the internet nowadays. It touches various business sectors. This rule also applies to running a business.
Cryptocurrencies: According to Mr. Belfort, a successful mainstream cryptocurrency will emerge one day. The danger are all the copycats that keep popping up. That does not mean that every cryptocoin is a scam, but some may well be. He compares them to penny stocks, which were sold en masse to the public in the 80s. The positive thing about Bitcoin is its limited number. So it cannot be printed like the regular fiat currencies. Further, governments use their currencies (e.g. by devaluation) in order to stimulate their countries‘ economies. They could not do it with cryptocurrencies. But the real problem are not the cryptocurrencies as such, but the people, who are gready by nature. Eventually, the governments can pull the plug on the cryptocurrency sector (e.g. China).
Mr. Belfort‘s advice: The world today is not different than the world twenty years ago. Yes, there is internet and so on; but the same rules apply and the same mistakes are kept being made. So learn the rules of the game!
