Introducción - Introduction

He decidido cambiar de vez en cuando los posts que escribo los martes sobre la economía mundial y el estado de los mercados financieros. La causa es que creo que se solapa un poco con lo que escribo los lunes, el snapshot de los mercados y también porque se empieza a hacer un poco pesado. Creo que un análisis mensual similar es suficiente, ya que no cambian tanto los mercados de una semana a otra.

I have decided to change from time to time the posts I write on Tuesdays about the world economy and the state of the financial markets. The reason is that I think it overlaps a bit with what I write on Mondays, the snapshot of the markets and also because it starts to get a little heavy. I think a similar monthly analysis is enough, since markets do not change so much from week to week.

Pues bien, he estado pensando sobre qué escribir los martes y creo que voy a realizar unos análisis no complejos de compañías de las que se habla mucho y que tienen cierta relevancia en los mercados. Además, elegiré empresas conocidas por todos, no me centraré en una empresa desconocida a no ser que crea que puede aportar algo a la comunidad.

Well, I've been thinking about what to write on Tuesdays and I think I'm going to do some non-complex analyzes of companies that are talked about a lot and that have some relevance in the markets. In addition, I will choose companies known to all, I will not focus on an unknown company unless I think I can contribute something to the community.

Para empezar con estos análisis he escogido una empresa muy conocida actualmente, una aplicación que muchísima gente usa y de la que no he escuchado una crítica. Un producto barato y asequible para casi cualquiera y con la que podemos ver Series y Películas, algo que se ha puesto tanto de moda últimamente, esta empresa es NETFLIX.

To begin with these analyzes I have chosen a very well-known company at the moment, an application that many people use and of which I have not listened to a criticism. A cheap and affordable product for almost anyone and with which we can see Series and Movies, something that has become so fashionable lately, this company is NETFLIX.

Análisis - Analysis

Esta es la pantalla principal en Bloomberg de Netflix, en ella podemos ver un gráfico, la descripción de la empresa, algunos datos fundamentales y de precios (destaco que en lo que va de año ha subido un 67%).

En cuanto a los gráficos de precios, os voy a mostrar dos, uno de 1 año y otro de 5 años. La subida de Netflix es estratosférica. Hablamos de las criptomonedas en subidas fuertes, pero esta empresa no se queda corta.

En cuanto a los datos fundamentales de la empresa, son bastante claros, desde 2016, el EBITDA se ha doblado, los ingresos han aumentado un 50%, los ingresos netos casi se han multiplicado por 4, lo que quiere decir es que han mejorado mucho para subir muchísimo más los ingresos netos que los ingresos. Por el contrario, la deuda se ha duplicado y la caja neta ha aumentado "solo" un 65%.

As for the fundamental data of the company, they are quite clear, since 2016, the EBITDA has doubled, the revenues have increased by 50%, the net income has almost multiplied by 4, which means that they have improved a lot to raise much more net income than income. On the contrary, the debt has doubled and the net cash has increased "only" by 65%.

El EPS que se espera para la empresa es brutal, un crecimiento de casi el 100% en un año. Va camino de cumplirlo pero quizás las expectativas son muy altas, tanto que si no cumple su precio se puede derrumbar.

En el siguiente gráfico se muestran los ingresos, que llevan una curva meteórica, los ingresos por acción, que después de caer en segundo triumestre de 2017 han cuento a subir en el último semestre de ese año y el PER de la compañía que actualmente está a 240, caro pero como en la mayoría de empresas tecnológicas.

¿Quiénes son los dueños de Netflix? Pues aquí está la lista de los grandes inversores. Los grandes fondos de inversión como Vanguard y Blackrock se sitúan entre ellos teniendo entre ambos más de un 12% de la compañía. El 12,4% queda en manos del Holding Capital Group Companies.

Para acabar el análisis, quiero mostrar las recomendaciones que dan los analistas sobre la empresa. Casi el 60% recomiendan comprar y el 35,6% recomiendan mantener por solo un 6,7% que recomiendan vender. Según los precios objetivo que dan los analistas, el precio deberá retroceder un 15%, lo que quiere decir es que aunque recomiendan comprar, el precio objetivo de casi todos ya ha sido alcanzado.

To finish the analysis, I want to show the analysts' recommendations about the company. Almost 60% recommend buying and 35.6% recommend hold for only 6.7% that they recommend selling. According to the target prices that analysts give, the price should go back 15%, which means that although they recommend buying, the target price of almost all has already been reached.

Conclusiones - Conclusions

Netflix es una de las empresas que mejor están haciendo las cosas. Saben ganar clientes y lo que es más importante, mantenerlos. Es un líder en su sector y otras empresas como Amazon o Google lo van a tener muy complicado si quieren competir con ellos. El precio ha subido por las expectativas generadas y puede caer con fuerza si no se cumplen. ¿Burbuja? No me atrevo a decir si es una burbuja pero la verdad es que da vértigo el gráfico.

Netflix is one of the companies that are doing the best things. They know how to win customers and what is more important, keep them. It is a leader in its sector and other companies like Amazon or Google will have it very complicated if they want to compete with them. The price has risen due to the expectations generated and may fall sharply if they are not met. Bubble? I do not dare to say if it is a bubble but the truth is that the chart gives vertigo.
