How to survive an economic crisis, Venezuela

in economy •  7 years ago

Hi, my Stemians friends, really that Venezuela, apart from suffering a rude and creepy inflation, we have a capacity to cope and endure it, for those of us who can not go to another country, because we do not have the economic resources, to do it.

I am a professional of the economic sciences, and I have been setting up my independent consulting firm for 15 years, with a great economic boom, and to this day I keep with the few clients that I still have, and of course I lose my incredible income, coupled with a separation, I have to be a father mother and assume almost all of the responsibility of maintenance for three years, but I'm still here and betting that we will come out of this crisis and we will see the country reborn again. Here are some tips that have worked for me in this tough task:

At home:

  • Modify my eating habits, now I make menu for the week, among vegetables, grains and meats.
  • I buy vegetables that are at lower prices, and reinvent kitchen with them.
  • I give food like flour, to make arepas, with fororo, zucchini, or carrots.
  • Now instead of sugar, I use papelón, for coffee and some juices as lemonade.
  • We stopped going to the movies like we did every fortnight, now I rent movies and I see them at home, not with that I do not go to the movies, but not in the same frequency as before.
  • Before I always ate on the street, my income allowed me, now I bring food to my work.
  • Change the habits of the stuffing of arepas of ham and cheese, now the fillings with chicken, meats, slices.
  • The clothes that we have left, before I gave it to orphanages, now I pass it on to my relatives who need it, principally that of the children, the same with the shoes.
  • Same with the texts, instead of buying for this year, we collected from relatives and we transferred what we were going to use.
  • We make home trades between my children and myself. (Before we had Mrs. Cleaning)

In my office:

  •  I recycle the paper.
  • Modify the delivery of documents, some sent via email, to save impressions.
  • The cleaning lady only the contract once a month, I try to keep the cleaning personally.
  • Change the folders by plastic packaging.
  • I have been selling things that I do not use, like damaged printers, for spare parts.
  • The water of botellon, I try to fill it in the filter of my house, and I save the weekly purchase of it.

(Take out an account, ream of paper 450.000,00, recharge a cartridge 30.0000,00 Bs. A bottle of water, Bs. 8000.00 folders of manila 5000 Bs. Cleaning lady 20,000.00 Bs. And the worst all week prices.)

Here I leave you, I hope it is useful, and we keep reinventing ourselves, to continue and not grieve, because really gentlemen, Venezuela is hyper expensive everything, while we continue selling everything at the price of the black dollar, forget that this will go down, but life goes on.

Happy day for everyone.
