Things I don't understand. (About fashion) 😜

Hi on your Sunday!

What are you up to today?
I am looking for a nice new cardigan made from wool.
So, I am searching online because I like to see many things in little time as I am quite picky.

What I find a lot, is big baggy woollen cardigans that hide the fact that you have any kind of feminine curve and can at best be called a compromise to hibernation. Like, ok I get I can't hibernate cause humans don't do that and I am not a bear, and that I can't hide from winter under a blanket, but I damn well will wear one while being vertical.
OR I find the model I want but it has no sleeves .... No sleeves ????!!!!???? No, none what so ever! As if it is not winter for your arms.... Yes, let that sink in for a while...

It has me perplexed why one would make a thick woollen sweater that excludes the arms. Like, was the wool finished? Dear designers: TRY RIDING A BICYCLE, WHILE ICY RAIN IS FALLING DOWN ON YOU WITH YOUR ARMS COVERED ONLY IN A T SHIRT AND YOUR COAT. It's NOT comfortable. And therefore I won't wear it! I'd sooner settle for the hibernation compromise cardigan.

I wear things for practical reasons and it's really nice if it has aesthetic value too.
Do you agree with me that when it's really cold you want to put on a warm cardigan that keeps you warm EVERYWHERE? And when it's not so cold you want to wear something light and not be sweating your torso off, while your arms are at the right temperature?

So can anyone please tell me, when do you wear a sleeveless woollen sweater? Or.. could it be that it's just for hanging in the closet as some sort of a gap filler? It gives you the idea that you have a lot to wear while ...No, you don't. ( Yes, I have one hanging in my closet, it was a gift, it causes a lot of confusion planning what to wear, more then anything else). 😜

You get my frustration? It's been festering for years now, not being able to find the answer to the question 'When is a sleeveless cardigan useful?' My conclusion is: Never! Out with the sleeveless cardigan! Or.. maybe I'll keep it just in case....

Tell me about how you feel about sleeveless cardigans please...

I would definitely wear a sleeveless cardigan.. if it's winter and cold in my workshop - I need to keep warm but have my arms free to work and big wooly sleeves would get in the way and prevent free and easy arm movement. I hope that answers your question. It may be that you don't have such requirements, in which case you should get a cardigan with sleeves. There must be one out there. Or learn to knit and make your own, complete with feminine curves and sleeves. That would be ecological and stylish.

No, I never have that. I guess it's for guitar builders only :-) Yeah, good suggestions! :-)
