Living In A Material World

Take or be taken,
prey on, or be the prey.
No space for love,
No time to think.
What are we doing here?
What happened to our dreams?

He traded in his life for his fears,
and a game with no end.
In a world that knows only one thing,
Where no one is your friend.

His desires were led by promises of freedom,
To touch and taste all the gifts of the garden of eden,
Consumed by the need to have more to be more.
It was never enough, To complete Him.

It is never enough, because the are no limits to greed.
It is never enough, because its not about need.
It is never enough, because he must always be seen.

And He was 'lucky' enough,
One of the very very few,
Who met the right person,
And from that point he grew.
And by luck or by fate,
He took the bate,
The promise of everything great.

What do you need to be happy?
When you have everything,
you lose something precious...
When you have everything,
There is nothing left to desire,
Except more and more of the same.

Who can enjoy a beautiful sunrise,
When their hearts are chastised?
Their pulse attached to their bank accounts,
And whichever way the money flows,
Even more the tension grows.

Every moment of His day was consumed,
The more he had,
The more he wanted,
The more he thought he knew.
He felt the power to control,
To stand above the rest,
But each and every thing he bought,
Just added to his stress.

Do you work so that one day you can rest and enjoy the moment?
That moment is here, now, every moment, ready to claim.
Are you tired of distractions? Would you like to choose your day?
Are you, perhaps, caught in a net with huge holes?
It's easy to get out,
But,
We live in a material world.

But we are far more than objects in this great cosmic game of life.
We came to become more, not to own more.
We took on this body to become a part of the incredible machine of life,
We are but a tiny spec, one cog in a trillion.
Trying to control with our hands,
What is beyond our reach or our grip.
Our real nature,
Who we really are,
And what incredible experiences we can have ... inside,
What a vast and diverse range of emotions await our discovery,
If we dare to jump and embrace the unknown.

There is no sense in submitting to fear,
If you have to give it your whole life,
Because there is nothing to gain,
If you give fear all your time.
If fear rules your choices,
And makes every day a grind,
It's time to re-think, choose again,
It's never too late to change your mind.

When you close your eyes,
and cover your ears,
and stop, just stop,
and breathe,
then only
you can
become
free
because
then only
you can finally see!

When the water in the pond is still,
We can see our reflection in it like a mirror.
If we throw a stone into the water,
it causes ripples and waves, and we will no longer see our reflection clearly.
Likewise, if we can quiten our minds, we can discover who we really are,
and what a beautiful world exsits in our hearts, our minds, and our soul.
The rest is Maya, the great illusion of life,
and whilst it can be fun to enjoy it,
we should always come back to ourselves so that we can remember that...

THIS MATERIAL WORLD IS JUST STUFF.
The real treasures of life lie in this very moment of infinate potential.
Every opportunity missed,
Is an opportunity wasted.
Every moment is an opportunity to choose,
Something else.
