Nice char how to! I like the very simple yet effective way you're going about it. I've made it via campfire/bonfire method a couple times (or just made a point to collect what I could from fires), and I've been really interested in trying the pit-cone method.

Awesome! I want to try making it in the campfire method now! There is a small right in the garden and that might be a good excuse to fire it up. The cone method is really nice... its a lot more active as you keep feeding it rather than starting with a pre stacked pile.
