When I was in my homeland, I never had knowledge of how to describe the characteristic of a certain animal. We had a pet at home but we just gave them food but not giving extra care. So I never knew what was their behaviors. And the question of @ecotrain today is something interesting because I already learned to love animals and knew some hidden relation between humans and animals.
What's the smartest thing you've seen an animal do?
I have a pet here, name Whitey.
And Whiteboy.
They were both survivors from losing their families when they were younger age. Whitey survived from food poisoning for the rats supposedly eaten by his siblings and parents. They died and Whitey was still sipping milk from his mother so he didn't eat the food. Luckily we went to the farmhouse of my boss that day. We found the cats dying. Whitey was still sipping the breast of his dying mother. He looked so lonely like he knew his family would leave him at that moment. So I told the caretaker to give respect to the cat's bodies and give a good burial under the dates tree.
I brought Whitey to the mansion and little by little I learned to love him more everyday and vice versa he showed back his love for me. At that moment, Whiteboy was alone because his two siblings were gone and his mother died in the main door of the mansions house. I gave her a decent burial.
Surprisingly, Whiteboy never hates Whitey and he loves Whitey. I noticed Whiteboy is open-minded. He let Whitey eat first before him. They were so playful and that was the first time I was really in touch with them both. The youngest daughter loves them too and I was so thankful that my boss agreed of taking care of my pet outside the house. They even give me money for their food.

Every day and night being with my pets taught me many things human doesn't have. An animal is loyal and has faithfulness. When I call their name, they happily come to me. When I opened the door, they wrapped my legs with their tails and rubbing their fur to my foot and legs. I tried feeding them with my hand, they never bite my finger. When they stand up and touch my hand, their claws are inside and never hurt me. Long before, when I saw the youngest daughter playing the cats, I shouted her to keep away from their claws and paws.
Then the smartest habit of my pet is that when they removed their poop or pee, they make a hole and cover it until there will be no bad odor they could smell.
I also love the way how they play with each other. They have their own control how they won't be hurt.
I also observed that female cats refused to have sexual contact if they didn't want to. She will be hiding herself just to make it sure, male cats could not touch her.
At this moment, we have already a lots of cats and it gives me happiness. I enjoyed myself feeding and playing with all. Whitey and Whiteboy are all males. We have Gabra the old one who gave birth to Graya.
Gabra gave birth again with three female kittens. Graya was giving birth, three days ago on the other side of the house we never reached out.
Gabra is now pregnant and maybe this month will be her delivery time.
Whitey and Whiteboy now are courting the 3 siblings. Maybe sooner, they will become a father.
This is what I observed from the pets that I have.
I love my pet and I will take good care of them all.
My boss bought a bag of foods for them all.
