Wonderful. We're taking a whole year off next year and we'll have less money to spend, which is only a good thing. I totally hate being sucked in to materialism - but it SHOUTS at you all the time!

It certainly is everywhere you look, unfortunately. It makes me sad to think of all that wasted potential of people living like they are 'expected' to, not how their heart or soul wants them to.
