I have to confess to not understanding the question.

Meaning is given to things by humans, to ask what our own meaning is, is meaningless. How can my existence have meaning, for without my existence no meaning would exist. Its not a two way function, my ability to bestow meaning cannot make me exist, because I must first exist to bestow meaning.

If there are aliens, they might bestow meaning on us as a race, depending on the type of interaction, we could have meaning as food or gods, or other concepts we cant understand, but that meaning comes from them, not from ourselves.

So whether you ask at an individual level, or at a species level, to ask the question of yourself is a fruitless enquiry.
