Incandesophobia or genuine move to better energy efficiency?

The "Edison Bulb" became a symbol, but it represented breaking sleep patterns that kept us healthy, burning fossil fuels to power polluting industries, and disposable products that clog landfills. It produced too much heat (less than 1% of the energy turned to visible light), provided too little blue and green, was engineered for a short lifetime and poisoned the ground where the Tungsten was mined and refined.

It is now outlawed in the US, and good riddance. LED bulbs based on deep blue and near ultra-violet chips now provide the best artificial light in history - but we will all live longer, happier, healthier lives if we work and play in sunlight, and sleep with the stars.

Sun can better heat our houses and water, cook our food, illuminate our manuscripts and craftwork.
