This time we will be studying about water and its properties, you know that water is an essential element for life and that it is part of a dynamic cycle that has existed since the Earth was created and that gave birth to life on the planet.

Water is part of inanimate nature. Fill the oceans, seas and lakes, flows along the land with rivers and streams.
If you look at our planet from space, you can see that three quarters of its surface is covered with water.
Water is found in all parts of the body of all living organisms. More than half of the mass of each animal is water. Many animals drink water. Other animals have enough water that comes with food. For example, many insects never drink.
Water is found in all the organs of plants. Especially a lot in juicy fruits. Apple, orange and peach juice consists of water with dissolved substances.
Water is found even in the seeds. It is constantly consumed, and its reserves must be replenished. Plants get water from the soil. Without water, they dry quickly.
Each person's body is composed of approximately 70% water.

Water properties
Water is the most abundant substance on our planet. Let's remember its properties.
Source
The water is colorless and transparent, and we can clearly see the inhabitants of the reservoir or aquarium.
The water is odorless and tasteless, because it has no smell or taste.
Water dissolves many substances. If the salt is poured into water and mixed, the salt disappears. The water remains clear, but becomes salty. This is because the salt particles mix with water particles.
Other substances also dissolve in water: sugar, vinegar, alcohol.
But there are many substances that do not dissolve in water. If the sand mixes with water, then the water will become cloudy and, after a while, the sand will settle at the bottom of the container.

Chalk and some liquids, for example, vegetable oil and gasoline, are not soluble in water.
Filtration is used to purify water from solids. The cloudy water is passed through a filter (paper or special cloth). The solids are deposited in the filter and the water is cleaned.
Water states
Source
Water in nature comes in three states:
Liquid
solid
Gaseous
At room temperature, the water is liquid. It takes the form of the container in which it is found.
Water flows, like all liquids. Therefore, there are rivers, streams and waterfalls in the land, and you can reach our house through a water supply.
When heated, the water expands and, when it cools, it contracts.

Thank you for the article. I also explained the properties and benefits of water to my children myself. My children are 6 and 12 years old. The youngest child often asks some unusual questions, recently asked why different water tastes different, how exactly the sewage system is arranged, etc. The older child is already asking questions about water conservation. She heard somewhere in the news about resource depletion and asked me what she could do to conserve it, that was very nice of her. She even often reads some articles about water on Waterzen.com herself, about ecology. I'm glad I have such conscious children growing up.
