ADVERB DEFINITION:متعلق فعل تعریف

                                             A word that modifies a verb ,an adjective or another adverb  is called adverb.

e.g

He derived car carefully.    اس نے کار احتیاط سے چلائی۔

They ran slowly.    وہ آہستہ دوڑے

You should not eat quickly.   تمہیں تیزی سے نہیں کھانا چاہیے۔

Examples of Adverb in which it modifies the Verb:

She was weeping bitterly.   وہ زارو قطار رو رہی تھی

We run fast.   ہم تیز دوڑے

Examples of adverb in which it modifies Adjectives:

He was listening very attentively.  وہ بہت توجہ سے سن رہا تھا

This book is much too expensive for me. یہ کتاب میرے لئے بہت زیادہ قیمتی ہے

They work very skillfully. وہ بہت مہارت سے کام کرتے ہیں

Examples of Adverb in which it modifies Adverb.

Drive car especially carefully on wet road.      گیلی سڑک پر خاص طور پر احتیاط سے گاڑی چلاؤ

Walk very slowly on slippery road.   پھسلنے والی جگہ پر بہت آہستہ چلو

KINDS OF ADVERB:   (متعلق فعل کی اقسام)

1.ADVERB OF MANNER:

Adverb of manner are slowly,carefully, quickly,sweetly etc.

He closed the door slowly.

Doctor carefully examine the patient.

2.ADVERB OF PLACE:

Adverb of place are as here,up,down,there etc.

He came here.

I searched my purse every where.

3.ADVERB OF TIME:

It shows when the action took/will take/takes place.

e.g

soon,later,now,yet,still etc.

The ball is still in the air.

He is yet ill.

4.ADVERB OF DEGREE:

These indicate to what extent action is performed.

e.g

extremely,fairly,quite,almost etc.

She was almost dead.

He is quite right.

5.RELATIVE ADVERB/ADVERB OF CAUSE:

It shows why the action is/was/will be performed.

e.g

I did not work hard that is why I failed.

6.ADVERB OF FREQUENCY:

They indicate how often the action is performed.

e.g 

often,always,usually,seldom,never etc.

He usually come late in the classroom.

I always say prayer.

Try again and again.

7.ADVERB OF INTERROGATION:

It asks question such when,where,why  and action is/was done.

e.g

Where are you going?

Why was he punished?
