...Good morning friend stemian this is my post this morning about morphology on shrimp...
Shrimp are watery animals that live in the sea, rivers, and lakes, only certain species. Shrimp used as a result of fisheries are often consumed because of its nutritional content. Shrimp type very much, there are large and small. The number of shrimp in the waters of the entire world is estimated as many as 343 species of potential commercially. Of that number 110 species are included in the Penaidae family. Shrimp are classified into Arthropod and are the largest Phylum in the Kingdom Animalia.
Shrimp body can be divided into two parts, namely the head and body parts. The head is joined to the chest is called cephalothorax consisting of 13 segments, namely 5 segments in the head and 8 segments in the chest. Body parts and abdomen consists of 6 segments, each segment has a pair of limbs (swimming legs) are also segmented. At the end of the sixth segment there is a 4-sheet fan tail and a sharp-pointed telescope.
>Section Head The head is protected by the head shell or Carapace. The front is tapered and curved to form the letter S called head cock or rostrum. At the top of the rostrum there are 7 serrations and the bottom 3 serrations for P monodon. The other heads are:
1. A pair of compound eyes (eye facet) is stemmed and can be moved.
2. The mouth rests on the underside of the head with a strong jaw (mandible).
3. A large pair of antenna or antenna.
4. Two pairs of small antennas or antennas.
5. A pair of head flippers (Scophocerit).
6. A pair of jaw aids (Maxilliped).
7. Five pairs of road legs (pereopods), first, second, and third-way street legs are chelaed.
8. On the inside there are hepatopancreas, heart and gills.
The body and abdomen are covered by 6 segments, each connected by a thin film. There are five pairs of swimming legs (pleopods) attached to the first to the fifth segment, while on the sixth segment, the swimming legs change shape into a fan tail (uropoda). Among the tail of the fan there is a tapered tail at the end called a telson. The internal organs that can be observed are the intestines that are exposed to the anus located at the end of the sixth segment.
The shrimp body has a rostrum, a pair of eyes, a pair of antennas, a pair of inner and outer antennas, three maxilipied pieces, five pairs of cholae (periopods), five pleopod pairs, a pair of telson and uropod.
