SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) BY NYSC CDS GROUP

Hello steemians;
Am a serving corper currently undergoing my compulsory 1 year National Youth Service Corp (NYSC) program in Nigeria. In NYSC it's Compulsory to belong to a Community Development Service (CDS) group.

I was lucky to be in SDGs CDs group, which this group is tasked with achieving and sensitizing the populace of where he/she is serving about the 17 Goals of the SDGs.

Briefly what's SDGs all about?
The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a new, universal set of goals, targets and indicators that UN member states will be expected to use to frame their agendas and political policies over the next 15 years.

The SDGs follows and expand on the MDGs (Millennium Development Goals(MDGs), which were agreed by governments in 2001 and are due to expire at the end of this year.

We in the NYSC CDS group in Sokoto State Nigeria decided to embark on SDGs GOAL 6;
LOCATION: Sokoto state Central Motor Park in Nigeria.

It's was a day of mixed reaction and feelings because we all felt accomplished and sensitizing motorist and the NURTW (National Union of Road Transport Workers) on the importance of sanitation to it's commuters and the disadvantages of a dirty environment.

We ended up taking pictures and selfies with the NURTW officials to round up our day.
