The government of the United Kingdom has introduced an insidious little bill on the quiet in the House of Lords, something that everyone who does not want to send their most precious little ones to government regulated brainwashing centres (state schools) should be aware of.

The bill is referred to as the Home Education (duty of local authorities) bill, and it's currently in its early stages in the UK parliament.

The bill seeks to basically amend the education act, to give local authorities (councils) the duty of monitoring the activities of anyone who refuses to send their kids to their state schools.

This is very different from the current position, where parents basically don't have any duty or obligation to even engage with any form of authority, because basically they're our kids, and we will do what we see fit.

WHO IS BEHIND THIS INSIDIOUS BILL?

It was introduced by a couple of Labour peers who have a long history of trying to stop parents from educating their own children as they see fit. One of them, 78 year old Lord Clive Soley, who was made a life peer by genocidal lunatic Tony Blair, has spent a career on the sidelines trying to ensure that children are the property of the state. He said in a Guardian interview in 1996 that he was bullied at school, and the experience has clearly made him a better person.....(Right. Because that's what we want for our kids, for them to be physically and psychologically damaged to teach them life skills. Fucking prick)

The other is Estelle Morris, former education secretary under war criminal Blair, who fucked the job up right royally missing her own targets and key goals (which she'd waxed on about being priorities )by miles, and was rewarded for being so utterly useless by being made a life peer at the same time as Soley. Quell surprise!

WHAT'S THE PROBLEM WITH IT?

This bill is extremely vague in its definitions. The actual bill basically says that local authorities will have a duty to come round to your house, interview you, interview your child and demand to see how you are teaching them. This is exactly the sort of thing that home educators wish to avoid by refusing to send their kids to school...testing them, comparing them, assessing them against a background of mediocrity and tickboxes on a council busybodies clipboard.

It does not say what will happen to people (like me) who will refuse to comply. Will we be dragged off by the police for protecting our children? Probably.
Will our children be removed from their loving families and given over to state foster homes, to be traumatised and lost in the system?

The main problems I (and many other home educators have) is this:

Firstly, councils are not particularly well known in the UK for being able to organise a blow job in a brothel. Well, not without 6 months of committee meetings at a cost to the local taxpayer of around half a million anyway.

The people in the council are bureaucrats in the quasi-Communist system we live under here in the UK. They are not experts in, well anything really, except pushing bits of paper around and creating workflows for completely pointless tasks. They are certainly not versed in education and child development theory. So what will happen is they will outsource this provision. And this is where it gets really dangerous. Ask anyone who has ever tried to deal with the government through one of their private contractors.

The combination of cost-cutting to maximise profit, huge pointless papertrails that nobody will ever use, and the general purpose one-size-fits-all approach that they typically adopt will likely cause families who are doing an amazing job at raising sophistocated, intelligent, emotionally stable and creative kids to either have to follow a government prescribed path (rendering it pointless) or be sanctioned by a bunch of bureucrats. And failure to comply will likely mean family courts getting involved, and they are well known for simply removing children from great loving families into the state abuse system.

Just do a quick search on "social services stealing children" and you will see what I mean. The British system is rife with it, and it has been for years. When the Jimmy Savile Paedophile scandal came to light, it became clear that for years there had been a conspiracy for the state to abduct children into VIP molestation rings. What really gets me is how the establishment didn't all get lynched for that, but hey, we Brits are well known for letting the powers that be bend us over whenever they want.

Secondly, and for me this is the most important point of all, they are OUR FUCKING CHILDREN. The state does not own them, but this insidious bit of legislation, created by people who are well known to be untrustworthy fraudsters, have actively protected (and in some cases been involved in) child molestation, and for the most part exhibit pychopathic tendencies, have decided, without any consultation to us, that we have to effectively hand over the rights to our children to them.

Thirdly, there is a crisis in the education system, which is clear to see, and makes it into even the mainstream national news pretty much weekly. Teachers are leaving in droves, resources are scarce, schools are crumbling. I actually am pleased to say that the government education system in the UK is basically utterly fucked, but the sad thing is that children still get sent there to do their 12 year imposed sentance.

Finally, who will decide what is good education? I know loads of people who home educate, and most have their own methods. They are all very thoughtful, intelligent, caring, loving parents. They might not know a lot about Henry VIII and his plethora of wives, nor do they care, becausesome old fat psychopath from the 16th century is of virtually no interest to a 10 year old. And if he was, they could simply go to Google and get some information, they don't need to be lined up in neat rows in a schoolroom to learn that.

The Brilliance of Home Educating

Happily more and more parents have seen through the shit over the last decade, and home-education, and especially "unschooling" is becoming more and more popular. Mainly because it works, it's been shown to be the very best thing for Child development, both intellectually, emotionally and physically. It prevents them from being in a state institution where they get bullied, and lose their love of learning quickly.

Parents living in the UK today tend to have more, and indeed much better, resources than most of the schools anyway. We can tailor education to our childrens needs and desires, and ensure that we support the fundamentally most important thing in learning.... the love of it.

Traditional schooling is militaristic, and is about programming children to behave in specific ways. The bells that signal the end of lessons are classic Pavlovian conditioning. This kind of schooling is directed at getting children to memorise given information and recite it, thus achieving certain academic goals through rigorous testing, which serves mostly to cause the child stress. How many of you were taught completely useless stuff at school which has had absolutely no impact on your life whatsoever other than to cause you anxiety over exams at the time? Hm. yes, I thought so.

Unschooling is a holistic form of learning which supports self-directed learning pathways, and is focussed on helping the child to enjoy the experience of learning what will be useful for them. It gives them a fundamentally different view on the world. They tend to be more entrepreneurial, make better life choices, have less anxiety, stronger family ties and be overall healthier. And these people want to take that away from us, or at least make it just as stressful and difficult to provide this natural learning environment.

WELL I SAY NO !!!!

The powers that be will use the old "safeguarding" argument, which I just laugh at. The government and the state system is not interested in safeguarding, that much is clear. When children get abused in their system by their own people, rather than sort it out, they cover it up. No, this argument will simply not do. Yes of course there are some parents who are clearly unfit to be parents. The majority of them are quite happy to bundle their kids off to school to get rid of them for a few hours a day.

The problem really is that the state wishes to further the idea that the state owns the citizens. One reason I am an anarchist is that I will fight this to my dying day. The state is no better than a mafia gang, and when it comes to my children, they had better watch out, because the home educators, if they get themselves organised and defy this insidious and evil attempt to control our children, can win simply through sheer force of will and numbers.

I urge all home educating parents to pass this on, to resist it, and to simply ignore and refuse to engage with the criminal gang who think that they own our kids!
