PALM OIL USES AND IT'S COMPONENTS

Hi steemians! it's @ayoshewa  again,today we are going to discuss and do some analysis on palm oil, it's uses, it's components and the myths concerning it's usage.
As an African lady, I grew up using palm oil to cook and do some other things. Recently I got curious about its use, it's components and the nutritional value it has to offer, and this is what I came up with;

Palm oil

is naturally reddish in color because of its high beta carotene contents. Palm oil is one of the few highly saturated vegetable fat,high in Vitamins and anti-oxidants and it's mostly semi-solid at room temperature.

It's use as a common cooking ingredient in the tropical belts of Africa, South-east, Asia and parts of Brazil .

These are some of its uses

1• As a cooking oil; It is use as a cooking oil because of its tasty ingredients and dietary supplements.

2• For personal care; It has many uses in this aspect, it can be use a deep conditioner for hair, it's use as a moisturizer for dry lips and skin.

Vitamin K

Squalene
Phytosterols
Flavonoids
Phenolic acids
Glycol lipids

Myths concerning it's usage includes

1• Regulator of cholesterol level
2• Reduce free radical damages and inflamation
3• Reduce blood pressure
4• Anti-aging.
5• Brain disease.
6• Kills cancer cells.
7• Cures cyanides poisoning.
8• Palm oil and menthol is often use as cough and cold syrup.
