Education is teaching wisdom: Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin condemns any people. Proverbs 14:34

The Book of Proverbs with excellence teaches that the education is teaching wisdom to the common and simple people. And this is so because when a nation adopts righteousness as a way of life this nation progresses, but when a nation adopts what is called the "creole cunning" the people fail and fall into chaos. And this is so because righteousness is uplifting, progressive, and benevolent: "The path of the righteous is like the morning sun, shining ever brighter till the full light of day" Proverbs 4:18.
The education is unanimously considered the main factor in the progress of countries, but thinking that the education consists in transmitting skills or technological knowledge is a big mistake. All sciences are subordinated to wisdom, and it is this perfect science that determines the proper use of any technology. Wisdom is the knowledge of the correct means to live, and it is by wisdom that men make assertive decisions with the resources they have.
If men, due to the prevailing oppression, do not know wisdom, hopelessness and extreme individualism prevail, that is why the prophet Hosea taught: "My people are destroyed from lack of knowledge" Hosea 4:6. Oppression and ignorance are the factors that today threaten the education of the people, and it is so that countries that have great resources to get rid of their problems see their hope frustrated.
A nation without wisdom is a nation with an uncertain destiny, and we see this truth clearly in today's world, where many countries due to lack of education have become failed states; that is why the Book of Proverbs taught with wisdom: "Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin condemns any people" Proverbs 14:34. The rectitude, product of wisdom, is what allows nations to build on good foundations, and thus achieve economic development. Sin, when it becomes impiety, on the other hand, is what leads to social destruction.
