I'm 14 and I actually like school. Here's why.

It’s been a while since my last post, so I wanted to give an update on what I’m up to now.

In my introduce yourself post, which you can find here, I mentioned that I was going to check out “a unique school in our area that gives students more freedom to decide what to learn.”

I am currently enrolled at the school, and after a semester of attending, I can honestly say that I love it. I have no idea how I went on at my previous schools after being here.

The school gives you the opportunity to pick all your subjects. This way, I’m doing things that I actually l want to do at school and it makes it so much more enjoyable and beneficial to my education.

I love to play music, whether it’s playing drums, guitar, piano, or singing. I’m even going to play the banjo at an upcoming performance at school which I’m looking forward to. I also enjoy playing sport, including tennis and futsal (indoor soccer). My other hobbies include reading, and of course, gaming.

I really enjoy my other subjects too. Some of my electives include entrepreneurship, self defence (where we mostly spar), media and a personal fitness class that I need to arrive at school a period early for three times a week.

It’s taken me a while to figure out what I want to do in my media class, which brought me back to steemit. Why not write on steemit in my media class?

I’ll be trying to do a lot more posting in the future. I’m not really sure what to tell you to expect, as I’ll just be experimenting a bit at first and testing which of my ideas are good and which are not so good. I may post some of my work from my English class, maybe some videos of me performing at school, or just other things that I’m thinking about in general.

I can’t wait to see what the future of steemit holds and to be a part of it, maybe even getting some fellow students at school to try it out.
