Life, Education - stress- Social Pressure

So today , I woke up thinking about life . I was like " What is life "? What are we on Earth for ? , what's does the term " success" really mean ?... This kind of thinking I am sure everyone had at least once in their life time , no matter their age!

A few minutes later, I started to think about school , religion, science, reality and dimensions... ( I know, sounds a lot strange like this ... but it's just that I am a thinker ;) ) . Therefore something came to my mind, especially on the education side . I realized though Education is a great thing , a lot of people are usually misguided . Some experience pressure from relatives that have high influence in their lives ( Like family members for example). Although it can be argued that relatives like family member just want the best for you , that is actually not always true. This is to say sometimes people do have particular preoccupations on their mind ( maybe the need for something... or the need to become some something) and these preoccupations can be anything unexpected . For example , The daughter/son of a wealthy Elite in the country does not want to attend Harvard or Yale or MIT , they instead want to engage in sports , music or Comedy .

Here comes the problem now ! Some relatives ( especially family members, especially parents..) are strong opponents ( If not dictators) when it comes to what their children should do or not do in their lives. This can be particularly frustrating to certain people ( Introverts, shy ones , daddy's boys , mama's boys etc...) as some would go over miles just trying to please their parents or entourage in research for false gratification.

You may think " Ahaha, It's ok , they're young or It's not that of a big deal, they'll recover" but no , such situations are indeed a " Big deal " . If you research even on google you'll find a lot of articles discussing such matters and I personally have some friends experiencing that . Again , you may think that " this only happens to others" or " My son/daughter will be all right and they love me " but here's the thing, could you imagine yourself in a situation where what matters the most/what makes you more happy is right before your eyes but there's nothing you can do to enjoy it ? You could be re-directed to any other alternatives but none of these would make you happy .

This is the type of situation I am talking about , the type of situation where people expect other people ( who have different DNAs) to do things exactly how they , themselves did it , and even to " enjoy it" . I am personally not sure about how much sense this makes but I think the amount of consideration of parents/ family members/ relatives should increase when it comes them , being " open enough" when talking "with" ( not " to" ) their children.

Thank you!
Cyril
