my introduction to this world

in education •  7 years ago  (edited)

let me begin by stating that my knowledge of the crypto-world is very limited. i only have a couple hundred dollars bought of a couple coins. my purpose behind getting into crypto is because i am tired of being attached to a form of payment based on the exploitation of other people and the earth. although crypto mining is not yet eco-friendly, i believe that this global community of peoples has the opportunity to not only create a far more green currency, but also the creation of a currency that has the potential to truly help in the facilitation of a dignified, free, and equitable world.

i am a math and language arts high school teacher among a community of learners with disabilities. my students, like myself, come from a lower-middle/poor-migrant background. i live in san diego, near the border, i want my writings and posts on this forum to show the struggles represented in the communities i am a part of. i am not sure of the ins and outs of the money issue here, but i can honestly state that any and all money collected here will be used to better the social-economic-political situation that my students, their families, and the greater community i am a part of is undergoing.

i am a revolutionary. i do what i can, on a constant basis, to undermine our current exploitative and marginalizing way of being. i want to believe that many people on this site have the collective understanding that a radically better world is needed. the revolution, i am convinced, will not happen on the internet, but the internet, and spaces like this one, are essential for the creation of a successful, democratic, decolonial, and liberated revolution. i want us to unite under the banners of logic, rational thoughts, engaging and honest dialogue, autonomy, and love.

i do tend to be provocative in my writings. i will challenge, via this platform, the current presidential administration of the united states, capitalism, racism, xenophobia, ableism, sexism, the rise of a police state, modern colonialism, and our societal apathy. please feel free to openly enagage with me and our collective ideas. we can create a better world, i know we can, you know we can. let's do it.

much love, morav
