To promote the integration of students with ADHD

We must believe in education, in which the context can be improved and everything can be possible by looking for alternatives. Therefore we must favor the integration of students with ADHD and help them develop social and language skills, with the aim of forming worthy, autonomous and capable citizens in society. We must favor the development of potentialities, making sure that ALL the people involved in the education of the student with ADHD understand the common meaning of the word integration. The greatest benefit of integration is that it allows the student to be part of a "typical" world and not a "special" student.

For this, the work of psychoeducation that must be carried out with the environment closest to the student is essential. The family must know and accept the disorder first, and then be able to deform part of the treatment and be an active part in it. For their part, teachers who work with a student with ADHD must also give themselves to this situation and carry out, as far as possible, a specific training in ADHD with which they acquire guidelines and strategies to favor the integration of the child with ADHD and minimize the adverse effects that certain behaviors of the child may have, derived from aspects such as impulsivity, lack of self-control, disruptive behaviors that may be incurred, etc.

Achieving this dream integration can be possible depending on the attitudes of others, the resources of the environment and the existence of adequate programs for integration. There is no change if there is no involvement.It is also very important that the profile of the caregiver is very human and professional, and that can help develop the personality of each individual without nullifying in any case, but neither should be practical activities with a large cognitive decline, we must know when to stop necessary. We must be good observers and not treat them as different, since this idea is simply the result of our socialization.

It will be necessary to teach them to use their limitations optimally and appropriately so that they have that critical capacity and we will have to try to learn to internalize norms and values ​​because they may have lost them along the way and need to communicate. We must strive to link the contents with the reality itself, creating interest for the student.
