Home University vol.1: learning a foreign language.

in education •  8 years ago  (edited)

Hi guys and girls!

I am going to start posting ideas for learning a craft for free (or nearly free) at home, instead of going to college/university.

The first topic is: learning a foreign language. It can earn you a good paying job, especially if the language is exotic and/or in demand.

Tip 1: Get acquainted with the basic grammar.

You can do that by buying a basic grammar book from the store, or just by watching YouTube videos. There are a lot of cool YouTube channels explaining the basic grammar.

Tip 2: Start practicing.

You can do language exercises and check the answers at the back of the book. It's fun!

Tip 3: Get a language app.

There are a lot of cool apps for free out there, and my favorite one is Duolingo:

Tip 4: Find a language partner

This one is kinda tricky, as you must find a person willing to learn your language. But it can help you greatly!

Tip 5: Get certified and impress your employee.

This one may cost you money, but you can get a new job/pay raise, so it's always a good investment.

Thanks for reading, commenting and upvoting! I will post more ideas soon! Until then - happy learning!

Nice, I am definitely going to save this to show to others and also help me.

Thanks a lot! IT stuff coming up next :)

Some many resources for language learning now. The most important thing is to be consistent with learning.

Exactly! Even if it is just 20-30 minutes a day. Great point :)
