''Indian education system''-one of the largest education system in the world.More than 750000 schools and more than 250 million environments,the Indian education system was significantly progressed over the recent years.Most of the school in India focus on academics and extra curricular activities.

HISTORY OF INDIAN EDUCATION SYSTEM:

India was the land of inventions and innovations.The world's first university was established in India in 700 BC.Takshashila University where more than 10500 students of all over the world studies more than 60 subjects.

              ARYABHATTA

Aryabhatta,the Indian scientist,who invented zero.Buddhayana,the Indian mathematician,who explained the concept of Pythagoras Theorem.The value of 'pi' was first calculated by him.The time taken by the earth to orbit the sun hundreds of years ago was calculated by Bhaskaracharya before the smart astronomers.Charak, an Indian doctor was the father of ''Aayurveda'' which was the first school of medicine.The most important part of physical fitness and mental peace is Yoga and Pranayam and these are the universal gift of India to the entire human civilization.

In those days the temples and the community centers formed the role of schools and these are mainly known as ''gurukul''.Sanskrit was considered as the mother of all languages and the language of teaching.

MODERN EDUCATION SYSTEM OF INDIA:

The modern education system of India is nothing but an image of western education system.Macaulay introduced the modern education system of India in the 20th century.In the colonial times when British ruled over India,the instruction of school education was the vernacular languages,while the higher education was granted in English only.
In the post independence time,the National Policy of Education accepted many objectives for the development of Indian education system.But now a days the reservation based on caste and religion is also a negative point of Indian education.

INDIAN EDUCATION V/S FOREIGN EDUCATION:

Foreign education system may be better than Indian education system.Why? Have a look.

Difference between Indian and Foreign education system:

1} Indian education system focuses more on theory instead of practical and it doesn't allow creativity.Whereas the foreign countries,they focus on practical based learning.

2} Foreign education system contains everything from arts to sports along with studies.But the Indian education system only focus on studies.

3} Indian education system teaches old technologies.They doesn't allow the modern and upgraded technologies like the foreign education system.

CONCLUSION:

There is a big need for revolutionary changes in the India's education system.Not just the syllabus but also the attitude towards the marks system need to be changed and thus India can successfully utilize its human resources with very large extent or quantity.
