Thought I'd try @matkodurko's What did I learn yesterday? challenge, based on an idea by Tim Ferriss ('4-Hour Week' book).
- Mon 31/12/2018 - Busy.org handles markdown differently to Steemit and Steeve browsers. Grrr...
- Tue 1/1/2019 - Brian May (Queen) has put out a new song to celebrate the voyage of New Horizons as it passes Ultima Thule.
- Wed 2/1 - Netflix removed a show by Hasan Minaj from their service because it offended the Saudi government. But they left it up on YouTube. I can't work out if that's cowardice in removing it, or epic sarcasm in leaving it freely available to the entire world...
- Thu 3/1 - 270 new species were identified in 2018, according to an article on Natural History Museum web site
- Fri 4 - 'Vanning' is a method for extracting the lode from ore by swirling the ore in water on the a shovel. Fru Vanning industrialised the method, hence the name (Wikipedia). Which is why a job I applied for turned out to not be with a trucking company, a vehicle conversion company, nor people with odd hobbies. Which is all good.
- Sat 5 - One of our TwickFolk regulars, Simon O'Grady has released his first solo E.P.
Are we discovering new species as fast as we wipe them out? :(
We have an O'Grady at our sessions too. Is that obligatory?

Possibly. Some of the 270 are species of rock.
All UK folk music events must include an O'Grady - it's a tradition or an old charter or something.
