My topic today is a very controversial one. What is the place of education in our age? Without mincing words, I would without reservation say that education is meant to put men in bondage. Educational institutions either take their origin from God or from mammon, the god of this world.
Those who take their origin from God are channels through which the architectural pattern of God's ways are revealed as touching education vis - a-vis his mind and purpose. However, those who follow mammonic enterprise of schooling are simply following Egyptian philosophy.
History tells us that formal schools systems started in Egypt as a way of teaching her ways, tradition and worship to recipient and students. By these, worship of gods and idolic cultures are transmitted from generation to generation for preservation.
Going by this, education was meant to put people in bondage to the gods and her ways
Education in this dispensation even does more harm. Education is to set up people to qualify to get a good job. If not, how would you explain somebody going to university to study for eight years in order to be an applicant again. This is a serious bondage.
Education by proper definition should empower you to create jobs rather than being an applicant again. The stereotype of education today makes you an applicant. After getting the job, it gives you salaries and after a meritorious service years, prepares you for pension.
The question is: when would you have time for your own dreams?
No matter how much you make, the cars you get, or the houses you posses, you can never be satisfied because its not your own thing.
The flashy things regular government work gives you are tools because they never instill the vital principle of wealth creation- investment mentality and financial intelligence. The funniest thing is that after employment, most applicants still go from interview to interview seeking for thy dream jobs.
Let me ask you: is this not bondage?
