For as long as I remember, learning to write a proper sentence has been a challenge. However, only recently, I found a way to help myself overcome that problem. And that is learning like a dyslexic person. I am not dyslexic but the method used to teach is very simple.
Writing, does not have to be complicated. The easier a sentence construction, the better it is to read, and the easier for the reader to understand.
I thought, using a long sentence with complicated verbs is better, but that is not the case. It will only hinder the readers from understanding our ideas. Hence, a simple and a clear sentence speak more weight than a verbose sentence.
It is crucial, especially when we try to write an essay. For that I am glad, that I get to learn about it, before too late. I am currently writing a thesis. Thus this knowledge is needed. Although I know, there are tools to help me write better. But, I prefer to write naturally.
I could tell you to get rid of the words hinders, hence and verbose but if it's your style, please keep them.
I guess Uni taught me to write in a more complicated and informal way, something I'm still trying to unlearn.
Less is more, but if more is more like you, trying to use less words is actually less you and might feel unnatural.
Please keep writing naturally. If it flows for you, it flows for the reader.
