Key Learnings:
Still found a few kids copying from other sources, kinda disappointing, so had a hard talk with them again. A few of them had been flagged by cheetah bot too. Didn't like nagging them about responsibilities and sloppy effort, so just told them to treat Steemit as a professional would. Because the money they will be earning is real, it only made sense if they put in real effort.
After finding out that some of the kids are still struggling to make their posts look clean and easy to read, I decided to create a Pre-Post Checklist to make sure they have done all the necessary before hitting "Post".
I stressed on the importance of creating "breathing space" for their articles so readers will have an easier time consuming their content.
Also, headings are useful to create different "breaks/sections" in their posts, along with horizontal lines.
We looked at Steemstats.com, because some of them said Steemit be default only allow them to see the a few of their upvoters. I also explained a little about vote-weights and Round Shares, which are useful for them to identify strong supporters.
Next up is Steem.supply, which is a great Steem Tool. But for this, the focus is to stalk on someone else's top supporters and followers, preferably someone who is doing well in specific categories. I told the kids to not spam those supporters, but rather, follow them and leave a genuine comment, referencing the tips I gave yesterday.
This is to promote the concept of 80/20 principle - put 80% effort into 20% of activities that can generate 80% of the results. Rather than just following and connecting with any random Steemian, it makes better sense to find those who are actively engaging with the right kind of contents.
We then looked at SteemTracked.com, where the kids can research on the types of contents published by other popular Steemians within their areas of interest. This is to give them insights on what contents works better, so they can fine tune their contents further.
I also took sometime to explain about Steemit Witnesses, and why they are important to the community. As a gesture to @bitrocker2020 for his support, he got a vote from everyone as a witness.
I encourage the kids to regularly check the contents of SteemTools, so they can be updated whenever there are new features and apps for them to use.
Lastly, we looked at eSteem, and they worked on their own to install it on their phones. They were initially struggling with the private and public posting keys, but was quite glad that they figured out on their own. The main message was, as they progress through their careers, be it on Steemit or elsewhere, Resourcefulness is a key component to their success. The ability to solve problems proactively without involving too many unnecessary parties is a sign of effectiveness, and that's a commodity that's beyond their resume.
One of the volunteers asked the question I had been expecting but dreading since day 1, which is "where the money come from?" It's always interesting to notice that none of the kids asked about that, or rather was interested in the answer too. :)
The question led on to me explaining about the exchanges, the similarities between fiat and cryptocurrencies, a deeper look at the blockchain, and also the concept of supply/demand. Let's just say the kids were more keen to complete their posts and submit their contest entries.
In conclusion, I told the class a metaphor I wrote about late last year, on the Proof of Benefits. The nutshell is, as long as we can see the results (benefits) of doing something, and it doesn't involve hurting others or any illegal activities, it is fine that we proceed with the action. Yes, not all of us may fully understand how the blockchain works, but as long as it's beneficial for us, intrinsically and extrinsically, there is no harm in taking action. The inactions caused by over thinking and over analysing will just cause us to miss opportunities.
The learning is in the doing.

- Day One | Introduction to Steemit, the kids' first #Introduceyourself post, and no way a combined SBD133 of upvotes on the very first day!?!!?

Wait, why's Mav posting on Steemit nowadays?
Well, unlike other blogging and social media platform, Steemit is the only platform that allows me to earn cryptocurrency when I engage with it. Yup, one Steem is about USD7, and you, too, can earn Steem Dollars every time you:
- Create content (articles, blog posts, podcasts, videos, photos)
- Upvote (like) other people contents
- Comment on other people's posts
- Have discussions, share opinions etc!
Yup, basically it's the very same thing you're doing on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc all along!
The only difference? For once you can earn a nice income on the side!
Sign up for a free Steemit account, and you can thank me by coming back and upvoting this article. And guess what, you will earn Steem too for doing that! #awesome
I like how do you work with your team me too I have team 32 members but we work on socialmedia because they live in different places

Im a student. I will math teacher. This post great. Really.
Piaget said "The goal of education is not to increase the amount of knowledge but to create the possibilities for a child to invent and discover, to create men who are capable of doing new things. "
