Just like humans, the universe also develops and performs its activities. This is a scientific fact that happened to this day.
As a proof, American astronomer Edwin Hubble observed space using a giant telescope. He found that the light of a number of stars shifted toward the red end of the spectrum. The shift is closely related to the distance between the stars and the Earth.
The findings were the answer to a previous theory that states that the size of the solar system is static. Based on Edwin Hubble's research, the spectrum of light beams tends toward the red, meaning that space objects move away from Earth.
In the book 'Alquran vs Modern Science According to Dr. Zakir Naik' by Ramadhani and his friends, Hubble also revealed that space objects not only move away from Earth, but move away from one object to another. From the study it was concluded that something that is mutually exclusive means the universe is expanding.
Even Stephen Hawking in his book, "A Brief History of Time" mentions that the scientific discovery of the universe is constantly evolving is an intellectual revolution of the 20th century. The evolving universe seems to have been described in the Qur'an long before humans knew the telescope.
"And the heavens We woke up with power (We), and We really expanded it," says Sura Az-Zariyat Verse 47.
The formation of the universe is also described in Surah Al-Anbiya Verse 30. This verse also explains that the creation of the universe through a process.
"And do the unbelievers not know that the heavens and the earth are both a coherent one, and We have separated between them, And out of the waters We have made everything alive, and why they have no faith," said the sura.
