Octane Render - How To Create A Pearlescent Or Oil Slick Material

in education •  7 years ago

A quick tutorial showing you how to setup a Pearlescent / Oil Slick material with Octane Render. In short, create a Glossy Octane Material. Put Film Index on 1. Make your diffuse color black. Increase or Decrease the float slider on the Film Width. Play around with the float slider on Roughness to get varied results. Ensure you have enough lights in the scene to capture enough information (top, front, back and side lights work well). That's it
