To hear the grooves of the record the needle vibrates, the movement is passed onto a magnet near a coil, generating the current that will be amplified to an audio signal - a truly analogue signal path.

With the help of an electron microscope we can observe this phenomena.

Compact Discs and other digital audio devices on the other hand use bits of digital information that are arranged in an algorithm. This algorithm is later converted with a device called DAC (Digital Audio Converter) to reproduce an analogue signal.

Sure #photography is a relevant tag, watch the video.
Thanks anyway.

The video is pretty cool, just stop spamming the photography tag, thats all Im saying

But how come it's spam when it's related to photography. These are zooomed photographed images. Thanks for trying to make this place better, but I have to disagree. I'm not spamming, the tag is in its right place. Have a nice day.

a video is just 24 photographs per second after all,
nobody will notice, SOPHIST

Ok, thanks.

In extreme zoom, the intricacies of a vinyl record's surface become evident. The process of sound reproduction on vinyl involves a needle tracking the grooves, translating the physical bumps and dips into electrical signals. These signals then pass through a phono preamp, amplifying and equalizing them before reaching the speakers.
