Learning to grow

This afternoon my daughter and I painted a little indoor planter and planted some seeds - baby cucumbers, lettuce and strawberrys. It was loads of fun, getting messy and teaching her about seeds and soil. We have no garden so can't grow anything properly outside.

This miniature farmers garden was a fiver from The Entertainer toy shop, it includes the plant pot, wooden plant markers, paints, soil and seeds. Well worth a fiver. (If they grow!!)
My little girl is so excited at the prospect of eating some food she has grown herself. This was her face when I told her it would be weeks before they grow....devastated!!!
