If I think that there is something fundamentally wrong in the modern educational system of almost all countries, among many things, it is the way in which they treat students as if they were a receptacle of information, a recipient that teachers can fill with knowledge and with "truths" so that the student is well prepared and is, in the end, a repeating machine in charge of saying things just as they heard them from their teacher.
Socrates said, according to Plato, that truth is not something that can be passed from one perception to another, but something that, on the contrary, must be perceived directly. The only thing that we can transmit in one way or another to other people is our opinions.
And this is the mistake of seeing the student as an empty drawer that must be filled, and that is, all the knowledge in the world consists only of a set of diverse and varied opinions and points of view, which are usually given by teachers to the students as if they were absolute truths, undeniable in many cases, and which results in the repetition of the same interpretation by many mouths.
Thus, it is not possible to advance, being deprived of reason and of the discernment of the true and the false, in the definitive search for the truth, which must be done by each one of us personally.
Truth is that each of us has in himself the ability to find, and the correct tools to do so, the light of truth. For this it is not necessary to know the opinions of the teachers, but to be guided to the correct use of reason, which is the ultimate source of truth. There are those who believe that the ultimate source of truth is the scientific community (since there is nothing that is the science) or the experts, but in reality what they express is also opinions, and as such, they are susceptible to errors. It is within us that we must seek the truth, not in the many outward appearances.
Living a life attached to outside opinions and the accumulation of outside knowledge to satisfy our idle curiosity is the main obstacle to the steep path of wisdom, and the most common way to fall into dogmatism, which is, as Steve Jobs aptly defined it, live with the results of other people's thinking.
But this is, of course, my opinion, I do not intend to fill your head with it, but to give you something to chew on.

Great stuff man like always,
Can't agree more! On your point of:
There are those who believe that the ultimate source of truth is the scientific community (since there is nothing that is the science) or the experts, but in reality what they express is also opinions, and as such, they are susceptible to errors.
Yes, this is very true! But I wont write it all off to error. Perhaps purposeful error, maybe... But science mostly describe or is manipulated to describe what a specific group wants the outcome to be. If the experiment does not show what they want it to they change the results or they just do not pursue the experiment further. There are a lot of examples of this and to be free from this illusion that science is the holy grail of truth one must first destroy this dogma. Science is used as a tool to control you, it is really that simple.
I wrote a small piece a while back and I've been looking for it for the past few months and decided when reading this post I will dig it up. Here it is and is relevant to my above statement.
Here I'll list some examples for you. I know it is a lot but it meant a lot to me:
There are many more links man :-)

Yeah right, I also have the impression that science is being used as a modern religion. Science is definitely not the holy grail of truth, and there are many power groups who want to push their own narratives labeled "scientific" to be sold as absolute truth.
Critical thinking is the cure for those who believe that the truth is only in science.
