Continuing Education Programs Must Be Accredited

in education •  2 years ago

I've noticed that some companies and businesses are taking a gamble and offering continuing education programs for freelancers. These courses are often taught by "experts" and sometimes have a hefty price tag attached.

These are a big mistake. Most people do not have the time or money to invest into continuing education. These courses must be accredited to provide any real benefit. If you do not understand how these programs will benefit you, then you are better off just investing in the course materials yourself.

When it comes to finding a legitimate course, check the accreditation. Look for the course to have been created by an organization that has been recognized for their expertise in the industry. Also, look for courses that are either free or have a nominal fee. I know, this seems contradictory. However, most of these courses are free because the creators want to offer them to as many people as possible. By charging a nominal fee, they're making money off of people who can't afford the course.
