In this writing I want to tell about my education journey for last 16 years. I finished 14 years experience of my education in Sabang, where I lived in since 2000. I studied and played for 2 years in Malahayati kindergarten, After that, by the year 2004 I graduated and continued my study to a school in my residential complex area. The one and only school I and my playmates loved till whenever ‘SDN 16 Sabang’ although it is not as good and elite as any other school in Sabang, it is always in our heart, our childhood story is perfect there.
I and my next doors friends walked on foot every morning because of the location of the school close to my residential neighborhood, only a few dozen meters. Almost all of my friends are residents where I live too, therefore we have known each other before entered the school. Early period in my first grade of elementary school the amount of students only 13 people, three of them are men. As years passed by, the number of students in the attendance list decreased and increased, some of them prefer to move to a better school in the city, but I still stayed.
Even though my elementary school is located in the midst of the population, but our school is also capable to compete with the other schools in central city, not infrequently every competition we were able to brought home many trophies. And at that time SD 16 included one of the schools that the quality of its students admitted.
I graduated with the best national test score among all the students in that school, and each semester was in first rank in the class. Therefore, I was given a certificate of appreciation and also scholarship by the mayor at the time, Mr munawar riza. Besides, I also several times won the competitions out of school held by the agencies in my town.
In 2010, I entered a junior high school, a superior school in my town, and I was listed as a student in bilingual class. Not much has changed, I still did not learn, except sometimes if necessary. In my class I was only able to get the third position, because I prefer to followed the competition that can take me out of my Island.
My record of kindness and badness in junior high school was equal. I made friends with anyone, no matter how smart he is, rich, his parents have a good position in the government, even the cashier canteen child, I made friend with her too, because I myself came from middle-level family. My deceased father has not worked anymore because of his sickness since 2007, and my mother is a teacher in one of senior high school in Sabang.
I was closer and often together with those who are not very smart in the class and teachers classify them as naughty students, and I belong to it. Believe me, who classifies them as naughty friends only those who feel better. Try to be friends with them, they are also good, even they had a high level of solidarity as friends. Unlike smart people that sometimes some of them tend to be selfish and want to win themselves. Anyway I and my classmates graduated from that senior high school together without any dispute among us.
After graduating from SMPN 1 SABANG, I planned to continue my education to Fatih bilingual school, because I could get in there with 70% of the scholarships they provided. Because my mother's requested me to continue my education in our region only, considering my father's condition is less healthy. So, I decided to continue my high school in SMA NEGERI 1 SABANG.
In Senior high school, I got a diverse rank, starting at 6, then going up to 5, and jumping to 1, then to 2, and down to 4 and ending at 3. In Senior high School, I also joined the OSIS organization for 2 years and my position as a treasurer and secretary. I also still often participated in competitions such as Olympics, OSN, create poetry competition, and so on. To fill the spare time in the afternoon I also joined the sabang basketball team and often followed the competition out of our town. After the end of POPDA (Student League of Aceh Regional) I decided to quit on the basketball practice, and focus on the National Exam.
Here I am today at 4th semester in English Education Department of UIN Ar-Raniry. I never thought before that I would continue my education here. Since in kindergarten until elementary school I wanted to be a Doctor, and when I was in junior high school my dream profession changed to be a scientist. Moved to senior high school I still wanted to be a scientist and also side job as entrepreneur. The Destiny put me here, in this major. Whatever in the future, Actually, being a teacher is not as bad as my first impression. Moreover, I really love teaching now since I joined with Turun Tangan Aceh in the education division.
