1. Project Introduction

The project is found in Q2 2015 in Amsterdam with the mission of providing a decentralized network for Artificial Intelligence and AI related services on the NEO Blockchain. This project is named The Effect Network.
As we know, AI has been developing rapidly recently, beside the advantages it brings to our life, there are some barriers that prevent human in connecting to the services of AI, especially regarding the research and development of AI technology. There are 3 mains problems that we are facing: data processing, diverging tasks and computational costs. Based on these issues, The Effect Network Team build a platform to stimulate the AI development and create a various AI services. The platform will be more democratic, accessible and easy to use than what is currently available.

2. Project Details

The project is divided into 3 phase solution which require no fees have a low barriers of entry and provide fast growth to its users. It is built on the NEO blockchain and is fueled by a network NEP-5 token. The effect of this network will define the future relationship between humanity and AI.

Phase 1: EFFECT Mechanical Turk

Nowadays, although machine learning is in a comparatively advanced state, there are some inconsistent performance of AI such as imagine classification, audio transcription and data labelling and AI algorithms training is required a long and painstaking process that requires human assistance. This first initial phase concentrates on the interactive marketplace for tasks that require AI. This will help developers and businesses access to an on-demand directly and distribute workforce of human assistants globally. That means anyone around the world is able to perform a various tasks and receive payment fairly. When the tasks are completed, the workers will be paid with a network NEP-5 token called EFX. The Effect team will guarantee a beneficial exchange seriously and they are implementing the Effect AI Galaxy Network (EGP) – a governed exchange system and pool filled with NEO and GAS, along with EFX and other NEP5 tokens that will assure exchange rate stable and increase the liquidity. It will totally bring benefits for both workers and requesters.

Phase 2: EFFECT Smart Market

As a result of phase 1, The Effect AI Smart Market is a natural progression of the network. This market allows AI developers who have a functional algorithm can sell, rent or give out services with a simple and easy payment with the Effect token. There is also a collaborative element here, as algorithms will have the ability to communicate and work with other algorithms and purchase services from each other – helping to accelerate development.

Phase 3: EFFECT Power

For the last phase, the relocating computation to a global distribution networks will be processed. This “Effect Decentralized AI engine” will be based on popular deep-learning networks like Caffe, MXNet and Tensor flow and will supply the computational power needed to run AI algorithms globally. They will achieve this through partnerships with other project like Golem – the decentralized blockchain “supercomputer” or create the framework themselves
