in egypt •  6 years ago

The three Egyptian seasons are engraved on the walls of a tomb from the Old Kingdom (about 4,400 years) in each, four-month season, and each shape of the curve (perhaps the shape of the moon crescent symbolizes the month - within the season): - from Left to Right: the season of flood or summer (Sheno) where the water is flooded - and then the season of agriculture or winter (Bard) - and then the season of harvest or spring (Akhet)
