@pooped: Salah is the first Egyptian to win since 1982 (EL Khatib). That's more than 30 years fellas. The only Egyptian who got as close was Abou Treika in 2008. Legend!
@Treykiss: We should have seen the state of African football social media during the nominations for BBC African Footballer of the Year, Nigerians and Egyptians were basically trying to out-comment each other on who of Moses or Salah was more deserving of the best African player award. He scored 38 goals this calendar year and single handidly got Egypt to its first World Cup in 25+ years.
