This decision was taken at the meeting of National Moon sighting Committee on Sunday evening (Bad Magrrib) Islamic Foundation's Baitul Mukarram hall. The meeting chaired the meeting of the minister and president of the National Moon Meeting Committee Principal Motiur Rahman. These information was informed in the notification of the Islamic Foundation.
The circular said that according to information received from all district administration, Islamic Foundation's head office, divisional and district offices, meteorological department, aerospace research center, remote sensing center, the moon of Hijri 1439 in Bangladesh was observed on Sunday. The counting of Zilhaj month will start from Monday. On August 22 (10 Zilhaj) will be celebrated on Eidul Azha in the country on Wednesday.
The holy Eid-ul-Azha will be celebrated on August 21 in the countries of the Middle East with the Saudi Arabas on Saturday due to the moon sighting on Saturday.
