10 best things about Elantra 2023

in elantra2023 •  2 years ago

Elantra has been for decades the prime player in compact car market from Hyundai and the cheapest car from the band since Hyundai Accent got cancelled, competing against behemoths like Toyota Corolla, Honda Civic and not to forget the Mazda 3, while holding its own.

While just bringing a grainy facelifting to the already fighter jet like design, the new Elantra packs more sportiness than before. Let us discuss 10 things for which Elantra gives a tough time of the competition:

The Elantra 2023 Hybrid has a DCT transmission

Elantra Hybrid adopts a 1.6-liter inline-4, and pairs it with a 1.3-kwh lithium-ion battery pack and an electric motor, then ships the resulting 139 hp to the front wheels through a 6-speed dual-clutch transmission. It is more pleasant to drive around town since its battery boosts low-end power and it has actual transmission gears that have a more engaging feel. Fuel economy is stellar, at up to 54 mpg (about 5 cents per mile) combined.

The Elantra 2023 has the best-in-class trunk

The 2023 Elantra has a lower seating position than the last-generation model.

A 6-footer fits easily in the Elantra’s front seats, with good headroom and a decent driving position. The low seating position makes it more difficult for smaller drivers though.

With 38 inches of rear-seat leg room, the Elantra can also fit bigger passengers in the two outboard seats, but its sloping roofline cuts into head room. Those seatbacks flip down to expand the 14.2-cubic-foot trunk. The doors have black or gray plastic trim. SC, N Line and SEL come standard with cloth seating. Limited Edition is the only trim level that comes standard with leather. The armrests are also padded, and the interior is well stitched. Color contrast piping is also available. The N line as well as the SEL with convenience package now have Digital gauge cluster as standard equipment. It is 10.3 inches and when you change things like the drive mode it does change design which is a cool touch

Elantra 2023 has a very angular styling :

Elantra has a lot of angles and sharp styling on board. There is an exceptionally large grill up front, and their little triangles built into the design itself. The lower models will have a matte black finish. Then the N line does have a few more aggressive design elements thrown into the body kit. All the models are going to come with LED daytime running lights. The limited edition will come with halogen headlights. On the Peak trim model, we have full projector led headlights. You have the choice of 15 -,16 -,17- or 18-inch alloys depending on trim. To get 18-inch wheels, you must get an N Line trim. Mirrors are going to be finished in black, with all colors. At the front you have three different body lines going out and giving an angular look. Limited edition however will have a nice chrome trim on the window surrounds. The rear has a Sportback like design Taillights are going to be full length led accented stickpin-style taillights led that goes all the way across the back the actual brake light itself is going to be incandescent as well as the turn signal and reverse light for limited edition. The N line drag will come with rear- and front-end spoilers.

Elantra 2023 has the safest headlights :

The IIHS gives it a Top Safety Pick in Limited edition, which sports high-quality LED headlights. The NHTSA scores for the new Elantra are not yet out. The NHTSA gives the earlier Elantra a five-star overall safety score, expect this one to have the same.

Elantra 2023 packs a lot of safety and convenience features :

All Elantras get automatic emergency braking, active lane control, backup camera with active trajectory and automatic high beams. Blind-spot monitors, pedestrian detection, shift simulation, rear cross-traffic alert with automatic braking, adaptive cruise control and Hyundai's highway drive assist function are widely available. Limited trim level as well as the SEL and above we will get you the smart entry system with the brand's typical key fob as well as remote start. An optional premium is Hyundai's digital key system which allows you to get inside the vehicle with the key card or your cell phone using an application. SEL trim with convenience package will also come with heated front seats. Through upgrades we can also get an electronic parking brake, front seat-back pocket, and heated side mirrors. All but the base model will come standard with a dual zone automatic climate control setup with physical controls.

Elantra 2023 has a fairly good infotainment system:

A touchscreen measuring 8.0 inches is equipped as standard in the Elantra. Higher-end models get a 10.3-inch screen, as well as a 10.3-inch digital gauge display. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, with wireless compatibility on the smaller screen. The bigger screen has wired Android Auto but built-in navigation system. All Elantra trims have two USB ports in the front row, and a ventilated wireless charging pad is available. We have a nice row of physical audio controls on board. The fully loaded model has eight

speaker Bose premium sound system.

All 2023 Elantras are great at handling :

With a rear multi-link suspension, Elantra Hybrid has better grip, cornering, and a very stable and exact feel, though occasionally the gas-electric powertrain stutters as the engine are clutched in and clutched out to suit the power needs. The transmission gives a very engaging feel. The car does not feel electrically manipulated. It feels very pleasant to drive around town.

Elantra N has stiffer springs, an independent rear suspension, and a rear anti-sway bar, not to mention bigger front brake rotors. At around 3,000 lb., the Elantra N Line strikes a great balance between sportiness and everyday comfort. It handles well too, out cornering and outgripping all but one of the Elantras . The ride tightens dramatically with speed with minor disruptions. The steering’s also very tight and quick.

Adaptive suspension, big brakes, and a trunk spoiler are among Elantra N's unique premiums. They all come together to make the N one of the best cheap sports cars. The handling of N is at par with also the N line.

Elantra 2023 hybrid gives upto 54 mpg

For the SE and the SEL trim levels you are going to be looking at 33 /37mpg

mpg which is crazy good fuel economy out of a non-hybrid to get almost 40 mpg. The reason is the CVT transmission pairing with that 2-liter engine. Limited edition fuel economy is going to be reduced just a little bit with 30 /34 mpg. Hybrid model can give up to 54 mpg

Elantra 2023 N line and N are sportier as ever

The Elantra N Line takes the Hybrid’s smaller-displacement engine and turbocharges it for a net 201 hp, teamed to a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. With 0-60 mph times of about seven seconds, it is quick, and has the right transmission to respond swiftly to the driver’s inputs

The ultimate version is Elantra N. Its 2.0-liter turbo-4 spits out 276 hp and 289 lb.-ft of torque, lighting up the front wheels through either an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic or a 6-speed manual. Hyundai claims a believable 5.0-second 0-60 mph time for the dual-clutch version.

Elantra 2023 features the Hyundai NGS

Automatic models of Elantra N have an “NGS (N Grin Shift)” button that boosts power in short bursts to 286 hp and triggers even faster shifting for 20 seconds. It works just like the F1 push to pass system.
