MY PREDICTION:
Fetterman will nose out Oz in next week’s election. If the Democratic nominee for PA governor, Josh Shapiro, defeats Doug Mastriano, as is widely expected, then I predict Fetterman’s service as a U.S. Senator will be very brief indeed.
Fetterman’s cognitive, hearing, and speech capacities have all been seriously compromised by his recent stroke. As that becomes more and more painfully obvious once he takes up his duties in Washington, D.C., voices will be raised to replace him with a fully-functioning Democrat in the U.S. Senate. Fetterman will be pressured to resign. He will reluctantly agree. Governor Shapiro will then choose a reliable Democrat to replace Fetterman. (Soon after resigning, Fetterman will be offered a cushy, well-paying job.)
