millions of people who aren't in work who are on benefits who desperately want the dignity and respect of being back to work we're putting our plan on the table to reform job centers so they can actually be places that support people back into work the conservatives are also trying to refocus this weekend after another formator MP said they were switching their allegiance to labor and that's what we're going to stop AR we Rishi Zak's pitch to stop others following was a

campaign but all parties hope these pledges will help them be victorious on the th of July iion Wells BBC News well let's speak to our correspondent Jess Parker who's traveling with the conservatives rishy sunak today where have you been Jess yes good afternoon I am on the conservative battle bus it's on its inaugural campaign journey and if there's a little bit of confusion because of course myself and other reporters have been on uh reporting from buses uh since the campaign began that was on a different bus didn't have conservative branding didn't have the Prime Minister award um

but we are now on the officially branded bus that was launched earlier today in red car and we're continuing to travel across the Northeast just to give you a sense of this bus uh the camera will kindly do a little pan for you this is producer Jack BBC producer Jack and then down the aisles there there are other uh reporters from different broadcasters from the newspapers uh as well and of course the idea is that you get to follow the campaign you get to in relatively close proximity to the Prime Minister potentially lob a few questions at him uh as well and earlier on in a media huddle uh

reporters were asking the Prime Minister various questions one of them was about uh the fact that the Tory campaign so far has mainly seen the Prime Minister not exclusively but mainly seen the Prime Minister heading to conservative Health seats seats that were won by the Tories in the last election playing into this idea that because of Labor's substantial poll lead although usual caveat polls apply and there are the conservatives of pursuing a more defensive strategy a core vote strategy runak insisted when he was talking to us that he was traveling uh right across the country and of course we are
